About Kim Garthwaite

Graduating as a Registered Comprehensive Nurse in 1992, Kim worked in the fields of general and psychiatric medicine for many years. Nursing management was also a focal point in her career. Having recovered from serious illness, and with qualifications in Clinical Nutrition and Herbal medicine, Kim now works full time in her own clinic, supporting her clients to better health. |

''I have struggled with weight, chronic fatigue, and horrendous medication side effects, but have come through it, and have healed with the help of Natural Medicine.'' ''So now, I want to give my clients hope, provide treatments and education which may help the body towards recovery.'' |
|
Serious Illness After being struck down with serious illness after the birth of her second child, Kim found herself unable to work, let alone get out of bed in the morning. Highly medicated, Kim’s health continued to decline to the point where Doctors and Specialists gave little hope of her recovery and return to a normal life. |

''When I was gravely ill, I desperately wanted someone to give me hope.... I wanted support from someone who had been ill and had recovered, someone who could emphathise and be my mentor.... ....Unfortunately, there was no one'' |
|
Interest in Natural Medicine Small dietary changes provided some relief, but sparked Kim’s interest in the fields of natural medicine. Initially cynical about the use of herbs and natural medicines, Kim began to experience rapid improvement of an illness, originally labelled as treatment resistive.

''I want to assist my clients regain their health, have hope and know that they are working with a Practitioner who not only has empathy, but a personal understanding of what they are going through.'' |
|
'Treating the Cause' - the Path to full Health Treating the cause of the illness, rather than just the symptoms allowed Kim to regain her total health, loose 40 kgs, and return to full time study. With qualifications in Clinical Nutrition and Herbal medicine, Kim works full time in her own clinic, supporting her clients to better health. |
